We LOVE the Noodle House! We've been regular customers since the place opened. The food is solid and the quality is consistent with our favorite dishes. It's our go-to place for soups on cold winter nights. We generally takeout, but every once in a while we dine in. The service is always attentive and efficient. We are happy to have this gem in our neighborhood and love supporting the friendly owners and their wonderful business.

I enjoyed the mango chicken entre and spicy satay. We also shared spring rolls. Everything was tasty. Service was attentive and friendly. The only thing is the ambiance could be stepped up somewhat generic and loud. Otherwise, a good meal and convenient location.

While one may assume a noodle house is a house that serves noodles, there's the random possibility that it could be a house made of noodles. Now that would be something to see, but I didn't make the effort since the outside photos show a pretty standard suburban strip mall in the hamlet of El Sobrante. In the absence of any noodle architecture, I had the food delivered. I was drawn to their signature item, the $15.45 Thai Coconut Noodle Soup, which sounded like something Mary Ann would've made for the castaways on "Gilligan's Island". It was quite a thick coconut milk broth infused with ginger, galangal, and lemongrass and filled with fried tofu cubes, snow peas, broccoli, cabbage, and thin rice noodles (photo: https://bit.ly/3UM7SpR). Pretty hearty and flavorful. So much so that it overshadowed the lackluster $17.45 Grilled Short Ribs, which consisted of a couple of chewy slices of bone-in meat on a bed of garlic noodles and bean sprouts with a few random vegetables (photo: https://bit.ly/3zYSUDt). I topped off the meal with the $8 Mango Bites which were mango slices saturated in caramel sauce and ladled over semi-melted vanilla ice cream (photo: https://bit.ly/3A2B56w). Not bad for a house not made of noodles. FOOD - 4 stars...huge and hearty portions, flavors are hit or miss though the coconut broth works AMBIANCE - n/a...I don't know but a house made of noodles may be involved SERVICE - 3.5 stars...well packed even if the ice cream didn't survive the car trip TOTAL - 4 stars...Thai me up, will ya?
